Blue skies! is a performance for the reveal of Bram Kuyper’s artwork ‘I didn’t expect to meet everyone this way.’ The artwork, a waterfall in a shipping container, was placed in Almere in 2026 for Jij bent M and Vis à Vis. The main character in this performance is a writing para-jumper, suffering from a severe writers block and only able to write during his time in the air. A wrong landing makes the parachute conceal the artwork, leaving the jumper hanging just above the ground. The alderman of Almere comes to the rescue and together they unveil the work. Hereafter the parachutist recites the notes from the logbook about the jump.
