Beauty, luxury and elegance is a portrait of the partially sunk Costa Concordia.

Frank Koolen invited me to be part of the group-exhibition Fiasco Totaal at OMSTAND in Arnhem. I decided to use this invitation to officiously incorporate painting as a medium in my practice. Both for the sake of efficiency and inefficiency the paintings are made using only the left hand.

The painting was shown as part of an installation, together with a magnum bottle of champagne and a recipe for a molotov-cocktail to be made of that same bottle.
